- Plugins are created by third parties (custom plugins excluded) and do present a security risk. You are relying on the creators professionlism and integrity to do the right thing by your site.
- The plugins look/feel and functionality is limited by the options the plugin offers (custom plugins excluded).
- Publicly available plugins can be plagued with incompatablilty issues that may be difficult to resolve and require the assistance of a Web Developer.
- Plugins must be updated regularly and out of date plugins may be the target of hackers and fraudsters (custom plugins excluded).
